Reflections of Eduucation

I absolutely love working with children. My main issue and concern with education is lack of parental assistance. I have seen too many times, children raising themselves along with the parents showing lack of concern. Working in a head start center i see parents blame the teachers for their childs failure. The problem is when the parent expect teachers to teach their child every aspect of education there is. It takes more than a teacher to install knowledge into a child. The parents must work with the children at home as well.
It is a good feeling to know that you have succeeded in saving a child's life. You may scar the childs heart permanently knowing that you were their role model. I can remember teachers that scarred me from elementary school. Years later i still keep in touch with those teachers. The part that brightens me the most is when they tell me how proud of me they are.
